Since its founding in 1996, the American Anglican Council ( AAC ) has partnered with thousands to call The Episcopal Church ( TEC ) back to the apostolic faith. As we have watched our beloved Church slide into apostasy over the past four decades, the AAC has hoped and prayed for repentance and renewal from within. That time has passed, though, and the Church has repeatedly made clear its choice to walk apart from the Anglican Communion and the faith once delivered. Therefore, we walk toward the new wineskin that holds the future of North American Anglicanism, trusting in the Lord during this difficult and uncertain time. For many, that new wineskin is Anglican Church in North America. The AAC is a ministry partner and founding member of the ACNA. We pray that this new Anglican structure will continue forming not with the old leaven, but with a new infilling of the Holy Spirit, recovering the zeal of the early church. We are grateful for the recent actions and decisions by the Primates of the Global South that have helped bring about this new, orthdox Anglican church in North America. While assisting ACNA members and parishes, the AAC is also assisting churches and individuals who are staying in TEC or in the process of leaving. Our mission is to build a faithful Anglican witness in the Americas through educating and equipping individuals and congregations on a daily basis, providing individual counsel, guidance, educational materials, legal consultation, and a variety of other pastoral and practical resources. I encourage you to explore the wide range of resources available on our Web site, including staying up-to-date on the latest happenings in TEC and the Anglican Communion by checking our news section regularly. Do not hesitate to contact the AAC office at any time if you have questions that cannot be answered through this site. Finally, if you can ascribe to the AAC's Mission Statement and Statement of Faith ( A Place to Stand ), I would warmly invite you to join the AAC, if you haven't already, either as an individual, affiliate parish, or affiliate ministry. We are grateful for your support of the AAC, whether through prayer, financial contributions, or other means of support, and look forward to partnering with you in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a broken world. |
