Founded in 1929, the Georgia Hospital Association is a nonprofit organization that promotes the health and welfare of public through care services. It operates various hospitals, including the Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Henry Medical Center, Northside Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The organization participates in the health care plans of several insurance companies, such as Medicare and Medicaid. Its affiliated societies include the Georgia Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration and the Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders. The Georgia Hospital Association offers the CARE program, which began in 1992. It operates Georgia Hospital Health Services, which is a wholly owned subsidiary that provides products and services at a discounted rate to member institutions. The organization is a member of the American Hospital Association. It serves more than 150 hospitals in Georgia. |
