Located in Tucker, Ga., Idlewood Elementary School teaches students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. The school s curriculum includes English, reading, math, science, music, language arts, computer and physical education. It has a staff of approximately 85 full-time certified teachers and has an enrollment of more than 700 students. The school has business partnerships with Chick-Fil-A, Applebee's and Longhorn. It organizes several extracurricular activities, such as a book campaign parade, story presentation and craft fair. The school provides meal, medical and transportation services to its students. It maintains a parent-teacher association that assists in the library media center and with book fairs and serves as classroom parents.
