Montgomery Elementary School is a public, coeducational institution that provides educational services to more than 370 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It offers after-school care, enrichment, artist-in-residence and accelerated reader programs. The school also provides opportunities to participate in a variety of after-school activities, including chess, karate, golf, basketball, yoga, scouting and Spanish instruction. It operates a national junior beta club and offers a vocabulary enrichment program for students in grades two through five. The school participates in various programs, such as math counts, geography bee and spelling bee competitions, social science fairs, media festivals, duke university talent search shows, and music and art competitions. Its business partners include The Westin at Perimeter, Publix and Oglethorpe Crossing. Montgomery Elementary School is located in Atlanta and is administered by the DeKalb County School System. |
