Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center is a community center, assisting more than 4,000 people. An affiliate of the Boston Centers for Youth and Families, BCNC works in cooperation with the department s more than 40 community centers. The center provides programs and services for Asian Americans children, youth and adults. These services include adult education, child care, Chinatown summer, family service and Red Oak After School programs. Located in Boston, its gymnasium is equipped with a full-size basketball and volleyball court and fitness and dance studio and provides free access for community residents year round. Gymnasium activities include volleyball leagues for teenagers and coeducational adult leagues. BCNC employs more than 100 people and trains and enlists over 150 volunteers annually. |
