Village Barber Shop in Skokie IL started out in 1958 as an old-fashioned barbershop where men came to get a haircut, a shave and talk a little. Since 1958, it has transformed into a full-service barbershop and salon for men, women and children. Mike Blaa started out as an employee in 1978 and bought the business in 1982. He is largely responsible for the shop's transformation. It is still a place with a friendly atmosphere, but offers many more services.
