Dr. Wiers is a native of the Green Bay, WI area. While in high school, he was accepted into the Pre-Dental Scholar Program at Marquette University in Milwaukee. After completing his undergraduate studies at Marquette, Dr. Wiers attended a culinary school in Italy. He continues to enjoy cooking, especially Italian cuisine. Dr. Wiers received his D.D.S. from Marquette University School of Dentistry. Upon graduation from Marquette University School of Dentistry, Dr. Wiers was selected for a position as a General Practice Resident at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Cleveland, OH. While serving at the VA, he treated patients with complex medical and dental problems. Through his experiences at the VA, he learned the value and importance of not only treating teeth but treating patients and their overall health. Dr. Wiers strongly believes in continuing education. He has taken many courses in a variety of disciplines to stay current on developments in the profession. His motivation is to be able to offer the best and most appropriate treatments to his patients. Dr. Wiers maintains professional membership in the following organizations; American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Wiers is a marathon and half marathon coach for Team in Training and is an active runner himself. He enjoys biking, golfing, skiing and coaching others in running.Gendermale |
