Established in 1914, St. Helen School provides coeducational academic programs for more than 250 students between the ages of 3 and 14. The school offers classes in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and religion. It also provides special instruction in Spanish, physical education, art, music and computer technology. St. Helen School has a library, computer laboratory, music room, gymnasium, theater and outdoor playground. The school offers opportunities to participate in several sports activities, including soccer and basketball. It additionally has a family-school association that raises funds for educational programs and oversees after-school sport activities. The school is accredited by the North Central Association of Schools, Illinois State Board of Education and the Chicago Archdiocese.
