 Near North Montessori School, founded in 1963, is a nonprofit institution serving more than 500 students. The institute provides programs in math, language, geography, science, art and music. Its library offers a variety of magazines, books tape, video and music tapes and CDs and computers with Internet access. Near North Montessori School provides various facilities, including computer and science labs. It offers a variety of sports programs, such as football, lacrosse, basketball and softball and provides a range of intramural and fitness programs to its students. The institute is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education, American Montessori Society, Illinois Montessori Society and Association Montessori Internationale.
