Operating for more than 100 years, John C. Burroughs School is one of several elementary schools that are a part of Chicago Public Schools. The school serves more than 500 students in prekindergarten through grade eight. The guidance counselor of the school works closely with parents, teachers, school administrators and other professionals to enhance the development of students. Under the Magnet Cluster Program, John C. Burroughs School offers literature and writing programs to students in kindergarten through grade eight.
