Located in Chicago, Clemente High School is part of the Roberto Clemente Community Academy that has adopted the small school system where students are grouped according to their academic interests during their four years in high school. The small schools that comprise the community academy are dual language bilingual academy, fine and performing arts academy, journalism, communication and law academy, junior reserve officer training corps academy, math, science and technology academy, and world language and career academy. Additionally, the school offers a remedial program for students graduating from junior high. Its athletic program includes bowling, football, baseball and soccer. The school s library offers more than 2,200 newspaper, magazine, journal, transcript maps, book and other reference resources. The school also offers several service learning organizations, including adopting and caring for parks in Chicago, working with youth with disabilities, Logan Square Boys and Girls Club, and working on tutoring and elderly care services. |
