Founded in 1984, the Blair Early Childhood Center offers a variety of educational, health and therapeutic services for children with physical and mental disabilities. The center provides classes in music, art, and physical and occupational therapies. It serves children between the ages of 3 and 7. The Blair Early Childhood Center also offers psychological assessment and speech therapy programs. In addition, the center provides special education services for students with hearing and visual impairments. It offers opportunities for participation in a range of enrichment programs, such as Pumpkin Patch festivals and Halloween parades. The Blair Early Childhood Center assists children with autism and other conversing deficits to initiate communication. The center is governed by Chicago Public Schools. |
