Located in Dallas, the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe Shrine is the central church of the Diocese of Dallas. The cathedral serves more than 630,000 Roman Catholics in the nine-county Diocese of Dallas. It serves one of the largest cathedral congregations in the United States, and one of the largest Latin parish congregations, with more than 50,000 registered households. It has a cathedral chorale and Spanish choir that frequently collaborate for special events. The church also offers knights of Columbus, an organization of Catholic men working for charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and preserving family life. It also offers basic and advanced adult education, spiritual, social service, health educational, informative, cultural, and recreational programs. Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe Shrine also supports the cursillos de cristiandad movement. |
