Founded in 1954, St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School provides educational opportunities for more than 150 students in kindergarten through grade eight. The school s facilities include a gymnasium, kitchen, cafeteria, playground, soccer field and over 10 classrooms. It offers a variety of academic programs and extracurricular activities. St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School conducts spelling and geography bees competitions, Scholastic Bowls, and science and history fair competitions. The school is recognized by the State of Texas for academic and safety standards. It features a technology laboratory that includes a scanner, student workstations and printers. St. Philip the Apostle Catholic School offers accelerated reader programs for children and publishes school newspapers. The school additionally operates Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. |
