Founded in 1986, the Highlands School serves the educational needs of more than 450 students, and offers classes from prekindergarten through grade 12. The school offers instructions in English, math, science, industrial technology, social studies, health education, business studies, language arts, family and consumer science, computer science, music, arts and crafts and physical education. The school offers various sports programs, including soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, basketball and athletics. It also organizes various extracurricular programs, such as debate team, student council, great books program, math and chess clubs and various programs for students with special talents. Located in Irving, Texas, the school facility includes a chapel, library, computer labs, chemical and physical sciences laboratories, sports pavilion and playgrounds. |
