 Bethune Academy is a magnet school for mathematics, science and fine arts. It promotes the academic, emotional and social development of students and is located in Houston. The school conducts a drama program that helps foster character development and assists in building improvisational skills. Bethune Academy s performing arts course includes a series of dance classes and educational activities. The school offers instructions in ballet, tap and jazz. Its string program teaches students how to read music notes and play rhythms. The school also offers computer literacy classes and maintains a garden club that educates students on plant growth.
