 J. R. Harris Elementary School is an educational institution that is governed by the Houston Independent School District, one of the largest school systems in the United States which serves more than 200,000 students in over 300 schools. The school has an enrollment of approximately 800 students in prekindergarten through grade five. It has a staff of nearly 45 full-time certified teachers that provides classes in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, language arts, English and physical education. In addition, it offers developmental bilingual and English as a Second Language programs. J. R. Harris Elementary School is located in Houston.
