William P. Hobby Elementary School, founded in 1964, enrolls students in prekindergarten through grade five. It was named in the honor of William P. Hobby, one of the former governors of Texas. The school provides instruction in language arts, math, social studies, art, music, physical education, social studies and science. It offers the English as a Second Language program for students with limited English proficiency. The school s special education programs serve students with special needs.
