 Gus A. Olseon Elementary School conducts classes in various subjects, such as language arts, math, science, social studies, English, computer technology and physical education. The school offers academic programs to more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. Gus A. Olseon Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that provides financial assistance and services to the school. The school offers a reading recovery for students with reading disabilities. Gus A. Olseon Elementary School also offers a talented and gifted education program, which includes teacher recommendations, classroom performance and standardized test scores. It is a part of the Aldine Independent School District and is located in Newport News, Va.
