Moore Elementary School was named after educators Les and Bettie Moore who dedicated more than 40 years of service to the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District. It provides several educational programs for the intellectual, physical, emotional and social development of children. The school enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides transportation to students who qualify for the preschool program for children with disabilities for visiting sites that provide these programs. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, technology applications, health and physical education, art, music and theater arts. Moore Elementary School also offers English as a Second Language and gifted education programs. Additionally, it has a parent-teacher organization that meets on a regular basis and funds cultural arts activities. The school also offers the HORIZONS program for academically gifted students.
