Perelman Jewish Day School was founded in 1956 as Solomon Schechter Day School of Philadelphia. The school offers a variety of educational and enrichment programs for students in grades kindergarten through eight. It teaches various subjects, including English, Hebrew, language arts, mathematics, social science, social studies, health education and religious studies. It also offers classes in music, arts and crafts, computer science, physical education and Israel folk dance. The school s library has a large collection of books on various topics, magazines, and other audiovisual reference materials. Located in Wynnewood, Pa., Perelman Jewish Day School is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools, and is a member of the Solomon Schechter Day School Association of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. |
