Opened in 1959, Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Faith Community caters to the spiritual needs of more than 3,800 people in Phoenix. The community provides a range of religious services. It operates a pastoral care ministry that offers medical support for patients in houses, hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities. In addition, the ministry administers a volunteer interfaith caregivers program. Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Faith Community includes various choirs. The community has a prison ministry that conducts Bible study and prayer sessions for inmates in correctional facilities. It also provides membership opportunities in Girl Scouts.
