Melvin E. Sine School, located in Glendale, Ariz., offers educational opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade eight. It recognizes the diversity of its students and their different learning styles. In addition to core subjects, other subjects include art, music and physical education. Its support staff includes a psychologist, speech therapist, an occupational therapist and student advisor. It also has a literacy lead teacher who assists in providing student assessments, plans and conducts professional staff development, and supervises and assists in setting reading program goals. The school library and media center has a more than 30-station computer lab and a projector for class presentations. It is a part of the Glendale Elementary School District. |
