 Turtleback Elementary School offers learning options to more than 500 students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It provides classes in various subjects, such as science, social studies, math and language arts. The school operates a library media center and offers guidance counseling services. Turtleback Elementary School administers the English Language Learners program. It also provides special education sessions to students with learning disabilities. The school offers a variety of food items for breakfast and lunch. Turtleback Elementary School provides before- and after-school care programs through the Boys & Girls Club of San Diego. It is a part of the Poway Unified School District.
