Established in 1974, Sunset Hills Elementary School is an educational institution that serves approximately 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in language arts, mathematics, science, social science, foreign language and health education. It has a parent-teacher association that supports and speaks on the behalf of children and youths in schools and the community and before government agencies. Sunset Hills Elementary School organizes book fairs, talent shows and family portrait nights. The school maintains a foundation that provides financial support for school programs and helps to enhance technological resources for students. It also offers special education programs for students with developmental disabilities. Sunset Hills Elementary School is governed by the Poway Unified School District. |
