Founded in 1959, The Little School is an independent day educational institution that serves more than 140 students between the ages of 3 and 12. It employs teachers, assistants and a special classroom support staff. The school offers half- and full-day programs, as well as before- and after- school extended-day-care options for students. It organizes summer camps that feature climbing and woodworking activities. The Little School also conducts storytelling sessions and science programs. It maintains a library that features more than 20,000 books. The school additionally offers computer education programs and features over 45 computers. It operates a parent-teacher association that sponsors special events, including heritage and art festivals. The Little School is a member of the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools. |
