 Harvey Scott Elementary School enrolls more than 470 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes several subjects, such as mathematics, reading, writing and social studies, science and physical education. The school also offers English as a Second Language, special education, Title I, and gifted and talented education programs. It offers the Reading First program, which provides at least 90 minutes of language arts, literacy, spelling and writing instruction daily to students in kindergarten through grade three. The school provides an online list of accelerated reader quizzes. In addition, it offers a range of before- and after-school programs, including mad science, choir, sports activities, karate and art classes, and chess and science clubs.
