 Beach Elementary School, located in Portland, Ore., conducts classes in reading, language arts, English, math, science, social studies and basic skills. The school also supports chess and homework clubs, in-school scouting, and before- and after-school care programs organized by the local YMCA. Beach Elementary School offers dual-language classes in English and Spanish. In addition, the school offers a specially designed program for prekindergarten students. Beach Elementary School s staff includes various classroom and special instruction teachers and educational assistants, as well as a speech and language pathologist, school psychologist, media specialist, and physical education and integrated arts instructors. The school is a part of Portland Public Schools.
