 Abernethy Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school offers classes in communication, reading, literature, writing and spelling. It provides the Investigations Math Program to students in accordance with the standards set by the Oregon Department of Education. Abernethy Elementary School also conducts classes in art, music, social studies, science and physical education. Its library maintains a collection of books, as well as computers for Internet research and word processing. The school also organizes extracurricular activities, such as basketball, badminton and wall climbing.
