 West Powellhurst Elementary School provides educational and enrichment programs to students in grades kindergarten through five. It is a part of the David Douglas School District and is located in Portland, Ore. The school provides special education services for students with disabilities, including learning and physical disabilities, speech and language disabilities, mental retardation and emotional disturbance. It has a computer lab that enables users to communicate globally, gather data for projects and do research electronically. The school has a guidance and counseling department that counsels students in their educational development and also offers individual and group counseling services. West Powellhurst Elementary School offers educational classes in English, math, science, social studies, language arts, music, computer applications and physical education.
