 Located in Portland, Ore., Metzger Elementary School enrolls more than 600 students in kindergarten through grade five each year. The school offers classes in math, physical education, science, social studies and reading. It also provides lessons in art, band and music. Metzger Elementary School has a library that provides access to online encyclopedias, periodicals, magazines, newspapers, databases and other reference materials. Its support staff includes a counselor, psychologist, literacy specialist and special education teacher. The school also maintains a site council that works for the development of the school. Metzger Elementary School is a part of the Tigard-Tualatin School District 23J, which operates numerous elementary, middle and high schools.
