 Clarendon Alternative Elementary School enrolls more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. It offers academic programs in science, language arts, mathematics and social studies. The school additionally conducts art, music, and health and physical education classes. Clarendon Alternative Elementary School also offers the English Language Learners program and gifted and talented education. It offers a Japanese bilingual bicultural program that includes Japanese language and cultural instruction for native Japanese students and English speakers. In addition, the school offers a community program that teaches Italian to all students. Clarendon Alternative Elementary School has a parent-teacher organization that supports various enrichment activities, including dance, music, visual arts and computer classes and field trips. It offers several before- and after-school child care programs. The school is located in San Francisco and is a part of the San Francisco Unified School District.
