Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School has been operational for more than 15 years and provides learning opportunities to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, reading, writing, social studies and science. The school also offers various other programs, such as STEP mathematics, Project AHEAD, Academic English Mastery Program, psychomotor learning, instrumental music, writing, after-school and extended learning. It has implemented the Ten Schools Program, a research-based instructional program that is designed to restructure and organize schools so that all students could achieve their fullest potential under optimum learning conditions. The elementary school is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and is located in Los Angeles. |
