Richard grew up in New Rochelle, New York watching his father practice dentistry part time in his home office. Being a strong student in biology and chemistry, upon graduation from Hobart College in 1971, he chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and enrolled at the NYU College of Dentistry where he received his dental degree in 1975. Having completed all of the requirements for graduation early, Richard was able to accept an externship at Lenox Hill Hospital which gave him hospital experience before his graduation. He was accepted to the staff at Mount Sinai Hospital Dental Department as an attending in 1977. He remained on the staff for 25 years. For the last 33 years Richard has been a member of the Dental Study of New York, the largest and oldest Dental Study club in the US. He is currently the treasurer of the club, a position that he has held for 18 years, and also serves on the curriculum committee. He is currently a member of the NY County Dental Society, the NY State Dental Association, the ADA, and the Academy of General Dentistry.Gendermale |
