Dr. Hudson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1982 and joined his father in the practice of restorative, prosthetic and aesthetic dentistry at this Rockefeller Center location. Dr. Hudson’s grandfather originally began the practice in 1917 moving to the current location when the International Building was completed in 1933. He has been affiliated with New York University College of Dentistry for several years. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor having taught Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion to second year students. Currently he is involved in teaching seminars in Professional Ethics to second year dental students and to post-graduate Prosthodontic specialty students at 4 area Advanced Placement programs. . He has conducted and published original research in the field of prosthetic dentistry and has lectured regionally and internationally. Dr. Hudson is active in several local, regional and national dental organizations. These include, among others, the New York Academy of Dentistry (President 2007), The American Prosthodontic Society (President 2012-13), Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (Secretary 2013), and the American College of Dentists. Dr. Hudson has served as a forensic dental consultant for the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, City of New York since 1988. After the events of September 11th, 2001, Dr. Hudson served as a Tour Commander of the Dental Identification Unit of OCME throughout the activation of the team. He currently serves as the Deputy Chief Forensic Dentist for Manhattan and is a member of the OCME Special Operations Response Team. Dr. Hudson has founded dental clinics to treat the underserved in La Romana, Dominican Republic. In conjunction with the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and The New York Academy of Dentistry, teams of dentists, students and residents from area programs provide comprehensive and emergency care to the students of the schools of Fundacion MIR and the patients and families of the La Romana Family Clinic. Dr. Hudson currently serves on his local Board of Education having served as its President from 2010-12. Dr. Hudson enjoys his downtime with his wife, four children and two Bernese Mt.
