 Founded in 1992, the Gillen Brewer School specializes in educating children with challenging and multiple disabilities, including language-based and nonverbal learning disabilities. It operates a preschool program that serves children in the ages of 3 to 5. In addition, the Gillen Brewer School organizes a school-age program that serves children in the age group of 5 to 10 who are classified as learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, speech impaired or other-health impaired. The school has business alliances with Target and Plaza Florist. It also provides a range of support services, such as family support groups, workshops and training; counseling; and occupational, speech and language therapies.
