 Milestones is a unique new, home based Preschool located across the street from Riverside Park in the 70's on NYC's Upper West Side. It is based in the Director's spacious town home apartment. It is a curriculum based learning environment in a loving, warm and welcoming setting. We are a mixed age group , limited to 10 children which promotes a family feeling. The Director, who has a Masters in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Child Psychology, has 35 years of teaching experience as well as experience in many aspects of child care.. The Lead Teacher has a BA in Early Childhood Education and Disabilities in Early Learning and has extensive experience with children of all ages and learning levels and styles. We strive to foster cooperation, socialization, respect and caring as well as preparing your child for Kindergarten in a fun, appropriate way. We firmly believe that a child's first school experience is crucial to developing a love of learning and we also believe in nurturing a child's ability to be compassionate, cooperative and engaged. We accept children from ages 2 to 5 and do not require your child to be potty trained. We run 5 days a week from 9am to 2pm and you can choose 2, 3 , 4 or 5 days a week.
