Located in New York City, The Brearley School is an independent college preparatory school for girls, founded in 1884. The school has lower, middle and upper school divisions, and enrolls more than 650 students in grades kindergarten through 12. Its academic programs include English, social studies, mathematics, languages, science, fine arts, and health and physical education. The school offers a wide variety of physical education and athletic programs, including basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming squash, track, field hockey and lacrosse. The Brearley School has a community of more than 8,000 members, including current students and parents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, grandparents, faculty and staff members.
