P.S. 003 The Bedford Village occupies an area of more than 85,000 square feet and has over 60 classrooms. It educates nearly 600 students in prekindergarten through grade five and employs approximately 80 staff members. The school offers accelerated academic classes, reading recovery programs and visual arts education. It provides computer-assisted instruction and organizes field trips to art, science and technology institutions. P.S. 003 The Bedford Village also maintains a computer laboratory and media center. It additionally offers extracurricular activities related to dance and music. Located in Brooklyn, N.Y., the school is managed by The New York City Department of Education, which operates more than 1,400 elementary, middle and high schools. |
